Student Academic Success Centre
The Student Academic Success Centre facilitates services that foster student personal direction and academic competence including developing effective study skills, refining strategies for academic success, understanding academic rules and regulations, choosing or changing degree programs, majors, minors and specialization/concentration areas and identifying strategies to enhance their academic portfolios. The Student Academic Success Centre and Learning Support Services work together to help Undergraduate students at Carleton achieve their academic goals. Learning Support Services
Located on the 4th floor of the Library, Learning Support Services is part of the Carleton University Learning Commons. A wide variety of academic support is offered to students from a single, convenient location including open spaces to study with friends and/or classmates, groups study rooms, workshops, drop-in sessions, supportive Peer Helpers, as well as networked computers. CUOL
Carleton University Online (CUOL) offers students a range of unique ways to pursue their studies. CUOL is dedicated to making courses available and accessible to on-campus students and beyond. This year celebrates CUOL’s 27th year of operation. What began in 1978 as a TV broadcast has expanded into a department that offers a whole range of ways for students to view course lectures. Today, CUOL offers over 60 credit courses to over 4000 students from across Canada and the continental United States. Visit website
The Career Centre
The Career Centre provides students and alumni with the resources and services needed for career exploration. This includes workshops (resume writing, accessing the hidden job market, interview skills) as well as individual career counselling, employment advising, and information sessions from industry representatives. Co-operative Education
Carleton University offers co-operative education opportunities in more than 80 academic programs, streams, and concentrations at the undergraduate level, and in four programs at the master’s level. Visit the website
Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities
The Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities promotes equal access to the educational experience, consistent with academic standards, in all aspects of services, programs and the institutional environment, notwithstanding degree and type of disability. Office of the Associate Vice-President (Students and Enrolment)
The Office of the Associate Vice-President (Students and Enrolment) works with students, faculty, university administration, and student government to enhance the university experience for all Carleton students.
