Conservation & Sustainability Students Study in Trinidad
A team of seven students from the third year of the BAS – Conservation & Sustainability program, accompanied by their instructor Prof. Yvan Cazabon, were hosted by the Citizens for Conservation of Port of Spain. This partnership, following on the success of last year’s DSA – Trinidad & Tobago, aims to study and document the important architectural monuments of the capital city. This year’s case study was the Port of Spain Public Library built in 1901. The students will contribute to a published report which will be delivered to the interest group at the end of the term. Last year’s report, “A Tale of Two Houses: An Historical Record of the Boissiere and Piccadilly Houses” was widely distributed amongst interest groups and government departments.
