Research Interests
Numerical and physical testing of steel structures in areas concerning the effect of shear lag and fracture, the strength and the rigidity of a connection and its effect on non-earthquake and earthquake building design; develop a material model to predict the fracture of steel under monotonic and low cycle fatigue loadings; utilisation of the fibre reinforced polymer in structures for both the original construction and rehabilitation; health monitoring of structures; behaviour of pipeline under combined load.
