Take Your Lunch & Win a Healthy Workplace prize pack, including a $100 Apple gift card!

Lunch is a part of our daily routine. It’s easy to become preoccupied with your work, and forget to even take your lunch break. But, forgoing your lunch hour can lead to a time-crunched meal involving unhealthy food choices and can ultimately contribute to health issues and stress. It’s important to take a break to rejuvenate and clear your mind in the middle of your day. After taking an hour for yourself, you’ll feel refreshed and ready to get back to work – much more productively!

Healthy Workplace is challenging staff and faculty to get up and take their lunch, anywhere but at their desk! Participants will receive a counter card via interoffice mail, where they can check off each day they took their lunch away from their desk. The challenge runs throughout the months of July and August, ending on August 30th. Email samantha.munro@carleton.ca to register!

Everyone who submits their completed card will be entered into a draw to win the grand prize of a Healthy Workplace gift basket, including a $100 Apple gift card!

Need some ideas? Visit our list of 20 Things To Do At Lunch for some great things to do around campus in 60 minutes or less!

We also encourage you to share a moment from your lunch break for the blog portion of this challenge. So, when it’s time for lunch, snap a quick photo and send it to us at healthyworkplace@carleton.ca . Send us a photo of your favorite lunch time hideaway or routine — or send us an actual photo of your lunch. It’s up to you! We also welcome you to submit blog posts to healthyworkplace@carleton.ca, sharing your favourite lunchtime activities and where you like to relax and unwind at lunch. Names of contributors will be included in weekly draws for Healthy Workplace prizes!
