Applying for Undergraduate Degree Programs

Depending on what country you are applying from, it may take some time to apply for your Study Permit at your nearest Canadian Embassy or High Commission. You may apply to the University as early as one year before the program begins. You can apply by submitting an online application, or using a paper application. Please review the deadlines and further requirements in the following sections on this website.

Applying for Graduate Studies

Applications for admission from outside of Canada should be completed at least six months before the time you wish to begin your studies. Graduate students are normally admitted for September, but some academic units will consider applications for January or May terms. If you wish to follow a program of study leading to a graduate degree (master’s or PhD program), please consult the Graduate Admissions website. Inquiries about graduate studies at Carleton can be sent to: international_gradstudies@carleton.ca.
