Ottawa, ON – As the world’s attention is focused on the Presidential Election in the United States, the U.S. Ambassador to Canada will be at Carleton University to discuss the election, and its implications for Canada. On Monday, October 1, the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and Fulbright Canada will present a public lecture featuring the Ambassador David Jacobson, who will be delivering a lecture entitled, “The U.S. Election: An Insider’s View from the Outside”. The lecture will be held at 5:30 pm in Room 270 of the Residence Commons Building.
Ambassador Jacobson will address differences between the Canadian and the U.S. election processes; historical trends; polling; key states and races; and the impact of the elections on the bilateral relationship.
The lecture will be hosted by the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University and Fulbright Canada.
