The Registrar’s Office manages the academic activities of all Undergraduate and Special students, and manages the academic records of all Carleton students, past and present, Undergraduate, Graduate and Special.
Here is a list of some of the services we provide to Undergraduate and Special students:
- Responding to general inquiries concerning academic issues
- Processing applications for deferral of final examinations or final assignments
- Processing applications for review of final grades
- Assessing a student’s academic performance at the end of the academic session
- Reviewing and assessing applications for graduation in cooperation with academic departments
- Assessing student’s eligibility for transfer of credit – through letters of permission, international exchanges or University of Ottawa Exchange
- Assessing and processing applications for change of major/stream
- Providing applications and information on petitions and appeals
- Reviewing and processing applications for special student status (Non-degree students)
The Registrar’s Office manages the academic records of all Carleton students including:
- Producing transcripts
- Producing certifications of enrollment
- Completing Changes of Name
- Processing of final grades on to the system
- Producing all diplomas for graduating students
- Managing registration along with other critical student information
The Registrar’s Office also:
- Administers specialty programs for off-campus groups
- Registers visiting students from other institutions on Letters of Permission
