Bethany Berard is a PhD Candidate in Communication and Media Studies and an instructor in the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton University. Broadly, her work integrates visual culture and media theory with particular attention to image technologies. Her dissertation connects histories of photography and the idea of information towards an informational account of photography. This work has been funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada as well as the Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
